02/19/2010 update from the desk of Catherine Krenzke, Lighthouse Hospice
Lighthouse Hospice Volunteers will visit with their assigned patient at the patient's place of residence. Volunteers provide companionship, reading, playing games, watching movies or other activities that maybe enjoyable for your patient and yourself. Qualities we look for are friendly, compassionate, dependable and able to actively listen. Requirements are: be able to travel to patients residence, must be 18 years or older (unless accompanied by a parent), must pass background checks. Must attend 16 hour Volunteer Orientation. Must commit to one hour (minimum) per week. "You cannot hold a torch to light another's path without brightening your own."

Volunteer Historian to help up organize our memories, accomplishments and fund raising events. Scrapbooking would be a great tool to use.
